Article: PBS FOLLOWS WILLIE NELSON DOWN THE ROAD

One of the most surreal experiences of this year's gathering of the Television Critics Assocation was seeing Willie Nelson's grinning face pop up on a huge screen in the glittery ballroom of the Ritz Carlton Hotel.

The occasion was a press conference to promote PBS's upcoming "American Masters" series, which kicks off its 17th season Oct. 2 with a 90-minute film about Austin's own Willie. Series producer Susan Lacy and filmmaker Steven Cantor were there to answer reporters' questions, but Willie was, as he always is, on the road again.
