My wife is from northeastern Ohio and most years around
Thanksgiving we go back there to visit friends and family of hers. I
must admit that even though I go along, I don't always enjoy the long
ride and all the visits she tries to work into our schedule.
But one thing I do enjoy is the opportunity to get fresh cheese.
My favorite is Swiss cheese. I must admit that most of the year I
buy cheese at the local supermarket and it has a good supply of
Swiss. But there is something special about Swiss cheese made in
northeastern Ohio.
Cheese is made everywhere in America but Alaska. It seems that
cheese, like wine, picks up the flavor of the soil, the grass and the
