This is the time of year when farmers and gardeners think about
buying seed for next year's crop.
We all know that the crops this year were not as good as we had
hoped for, but we can be optimistic about next year.
Every seed company conducts yield trials of their seed varieties -
whether for field crops or for the garden - and they have been
sending yield trial updates to potential customers since about
August.
I want to discuss how to interpret test plot data and how to make
variety (or hybrid) selections based on plot data.
First, collect that test plot data from as many sources as
