18 active, 2 retired pastors honored

DAYTON - The Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church hosted its first Black History Observance Breakfast at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Feb. 22.

The focus for this observance was "The Black Church and Her Role in Our History."

Eighteen active pastors and two retired pastors from area black churches were honored. Also, five women were honored for leadership in the church.

Each honoree received a medallion, a certificate of appreciation from the city of Dayton, (presented by City Commissioner Dean Lovelace) and a plaque. About 350 guests attended.
