Two former University of Maryland football players yesterday said
they were aware some of their teammates were using steroids.
Tight end Dolph Tokarczyk, who was at Maryland from 1984 to 1986
before transferring to the University of Pennsylvania, said he saw
players using oral and injectable steroids and that some players "did
amazing amounts of the stuff."
Quarterback Drew Komlo, who was at Maryland from 1984 to 1987
before transferring to Catholic University, said steroid use "was
something you knew about, but you never said anything."
Komlo, who said he had "never seen anybody at Maryland take
steroids" and has "never seen steroids present at Maryland" estimated
that "anywhere from 10 ...
