LETTERS: TREATMENT POSES MINIMAL STROKE RISK

I was disappointed, but not surprised, at the May 14 article `Study: Spinal manipulations risk stroke,' exposing the supposed link between stroke and chiropractic care. I find it indicative of the media's medical bias that it is so quick to report a grossly exaggerated phenomenon loosely linked to chiropractic care, while ignoring the hundreds of thousands of deaths directly caused by medical treatment and drug errors.

Yet, I believe very few people would deny the necessity of medical treatment and medicinal drugs in many cases, despite the risks.

The information found in the Neurology study is not new, and has been refuted by numerous scientific studies.
