MILWAUKEE - Aaron Boone didn't have the forethought to have an All-
Star clause put in his contract, but that's because he has yet to
sign a multi-year contract, something in his immediate future.
Players with multi-year deals usually negotiate bonus clauses into
the their contracts, as did Aaron's brother, Seattle's Bret Boone. He
will play on the American League all-star team Tuesday.
Other examples of bonus clauses: Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood
gets a $75,000 bonus for making the All-Star team and Seattle's
Ichiro Suzuki gets $125,000. Even Florida's Mike Lowell gets $10,000.
Boone gets nothing.
