Article: OUTDOORS; PUBLIC CAN WEIGH IN ON PROPOSED FISHING REGULATIONS FOR 2004

The Ohio Division of Wildlife has proposed its 2004 fishing regulations. Now it's the public's turn to voice opinions.

The Lake Erie Charter Boat Association brought up several concerns and made at least one counterproposal during a meeting with wildlife officials last week. You will have your chance to be heard next month.

The proposed changes in fishing regulations for Lake Erie, beginning March 1, are to:

* Reduce the limit on walleyes from four to three per day from March 1 to April 30. The limit for walleyes beginning May 1 would stay at six fish per day;

* Create a year-round walleye minimum size limit of 15 inches;
