Policy will bar unsupervised youths

MIAMI TWP., Montgomery County - Romello Butler, 11, hopped on the No. 17 bus in Dayton's Westwood Park neighborhood at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday en route to the Dayton Mall.

It's a familiar trip. To help ensure his safety, Butler was chaperoned Wednesday by his 16-year-old cousin, Anthony Morrow.

But next month, depending on when they arrive, Butler and Morrow could be greeted at the door by Dayton Mall security and told to take the No. 17 bus back home.

Starting Sept. 5, the Dayton Mall will implement a policy called MB-16, or "Must Be 16 Years of Age."
