David Bowie, 42, who made androgyny fashionable during his Ziggy
Stardust days, cast aside bachelorhood this week when he and dancer
Melissa Hurley, 22, became engaged.
Hurley, who danced on the TV series "Fame" for three years, met
Bowie when she starred as his lead dancer in his nine-month
international Glass Spider tour in 1987.
The English-born Bowie plans to launch a six-week concert tour
from New York this month, promoting his new album, "The Tin Machine."
