Article: N.J. Democrats Served Negative Ad On `Cereal Boxes'

The latest entry in negative political advertising has arrived at the homes of 300,000 New Jersey Democrats: cereal boxes attacking Rep. James J. Florio, the front-runner in the race for the Democratic nomination to be New Jersey governor.

The bright yellow, green and red cereal boxes, said to contain "Florio's," mock Florio as a packaged candidate, mushy on the issues and the captive of political bosses and interest groups, such as the gun lobby and auto insurance companies.
