Kevin Jordan of High Point became the first boy to win four
individual events in meet history, highlighting the 28th Annual
Prince George's County Track and Field Championships at Friendly
yesterday.
Despite his efforts, High Point still finished fifth in the team
competition, which was won by Suitland with 94 points, followed by
Eleanor Roosevelt (73) and Largo (51).
Central easily won the girls' team title with 135 points, its
fourth straight and eighth in the last nine years under Coach Ed
Bowie. Oxon Hill was second with 89.5 and Eleanor Roosevelt third
with 66.5.
Jordan, a junior, won the high jump (6 feet 6), long jump (22-0)
