DAYTON - `The course of true love never did run smooth.'
So goes one of the most-quoted lines from A Midsummer Night's
Dream. Three people, including choreographer Stephen Mills, have been
in charge of making sure that the Dayton Ballet's season-opening
production will go smoothly.
Mills, the artistic director of Ballet Austin, personally staged
Act 1 of his ballet adapted from the ever-popular Shakespeare comedy,
which will be presented Friday through next Sunday at the Benjamin
and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center.
The first act establishes the story about royals, fairies,
mortals, magic and mixed-up love.
