Valentine's Day traditionally is celebrated with a heart-shaped
box of chocolates. But the quickest way to a man's heart might be
chocolate beer.
Samuel Adams has teamed up with Scharffen Berger Chocolate to
create Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock, a dark, malty beer with the
subtle sweetness of chocolate.
Brewed at the Samuel Adams Brewery in Cincinnati and released this
month to coincide with Valentine's Day, the limited-edition beer was
aged on a bed of chocolate made with cocoa beans from Ghana.
The `Choc Bock,' as we've dubbed it, has a malty nose and a smooth
taste. The chocolate flavor is mellow, rather than overpowering. It
