For some, mouth protection is a good fit
LEBANON - Lebanon's Austin Pritchard and Tyler Howard look like
normal high school basketball players until they open their mouths.
When they're on the court, the Lebanon players sport a rare piece
of equipment - mouth guards.
That's an unusual sight in Ohio, but Massachusetts, Maine and New
Hampshire mandated this season that boys and girls basketball players
wear the protective plastic device for all games and practices for
the first time. The Ohio High School Athletic Association is keeping
an eye on the experiment.
Pritchard started using a custom-fitted mouth guard this season
