If parents and community groups advocating `stay in school'
programs need that added edge to emphasize the value of school, they
need only turn to their children's peers. These students have not
only stayed in school but have been there everyday.
Eighty-four students from the District's elementary, junior high
and senior high schools recently were honored for their outstanding
perfect attendance records. Among the honorees were 16 high school
students.
Four of the honorees, in talking about their accomplishments,
attributed their years of perfect attendance to interest in school
activities and good parenting.
