Article: Late San Diego TD drops Flyers to third in PFL Toreros QB throws for 494 yards, three TDs in 38-35 win

DAYTON -- The University of Dayton Flyers returned home Sunday after suffering a heartbreaking, season-ending loss to the San Diego Toreros on Saturday night in San Diego.

The Toreros drove 71 yards late in the fourth quarter and scored a touchdown that dealt the Flyers a 38-35 loss in a shootout at Torero Stadium.

On fourth-and-goal from inside the 2-yard line, San Diego running back Evan Harney leaped over the line and was stopped momentarily, but he landed on his feet and second effort carried him across the goal line with only 35 seconds remaining in the game.

Amazingly, the Flyers still gave themselves a chance to tie or win the game, thanks to a 52-yard kickoff return by Jack O'Dell ...
