Braddock Road's front line of Liz Pike, Mia Hamm and Collette
Cunningham scored two goals each in leading the Shooting Stars to an
8-0 victory over Lynwood from Canada in the second round of the
19-and-under girls division of the Al Dougherty Memorial Day soccer
tournament yesterday at Occoquan.
The trio also compose the starting front line for Lake Braddock
High School, which won the Virginia state championship Saturday.
Pike, Hamm and Cunningham are only three of six Lake Braddock players
on the all-star team that will represent the D.C. area at the
regional tournament in Niagara Falls, N.Y., in July.
