RICHMOND, Va. -- Unable to execute when the game was on the line,
the University of Dayton Flyers dropped a 61-58 decision to Richmond
in front of 7,385 spectators at the Robins Center on Saturday night.
It was Richmond's fifth straight victory.
The Flyers had a good chance to win but missed four free throws in
the last 2:18.
"It wasn't the free throws," UD Coach Brian Gregory said. "We just
didn't make the plays. To win on the road against a team challenging
for the league title, you've got to have a little more toughness. We
didn't have it. We had it when we played at our place. You've got to
have a little extra when you're on the road. You've got to get some
