ATLANTA -- Manager Jerry Narron leaned back in his office swivel
chair, hands clasped behind his head, 3 1/2 hours before his
Cincinnati Reds played in Turner Field Saturday against the Atlanta
Braves and said, "There are reasons why they are in first place."
And there are reasons why the Braves don't need MapQuest to find
their way to a 14th straight National League East championship. They
are as regular as the rooster and the sun.
No, it isn't about playing a lot of games against teams like the
Reds, although that helps and let the record show the Braves have
beaten the Reds seven times in nine games after Saturday's 9-3
affair.
