At an Urban Outfitters store a few weeks back, I ran into a childhood friend: Charlie Brown's Christmas tree.

I'm sure you'll remember the forlorn fir tree, especially if you grew up with A Charlie Brown Christmas. Little more than a spindly twig on a criss-crossed wooden stand, it was constantly shedding needles and bowed under the weight of a single red ornament, leading Charlie Brown to exclaim: "I killed it!"
