This Moraine story has a green plot

It's still winter, of course, but the days are growing longer and the normal temperature of each day has been slowly climbing. It's enough to drive a gardener mad.

Each year about this time, the folks over at the city of Moraine add yet another enticement to the mailboxes bulging with seed catalogs.

They're already into their first phase of offering free garden plots to Moraine residents.

According to Dave Miller, who's administering the program this year, the city has been in the garden plot business for a long time. In the late 1970s, Moraine began the program.
