Article: Exhibit from NCR Archive Photos, objects to show life under Patterson

DAYTON -- In a 21st-century Dayton that is struggling, it may be reassuring that world-changing business leadership developed here early in the 20th century.

Dayton History plans to do that with an exhibit that opens Monday and runs until Oct. 31 at the Carillon Park Kettering Family Education Center.

Progress Through Change: John H. Patterson's Innovative Legacy will illustrate the NCR founder's "invention" of modern salesmanship, his direct-mail advertising and employee-welfare programs.
