Article: Hyatt and Main site of Tipp City's veterans memorial 'Time to put up or shut up,' parks board member says

TIPP CITY -- The city's first veterans memorial will have a home in a less than 1-acre park being developed at Hyatt and Main streets.

The Parks Advisory Board voted unanimously March 13, following weeks of comment over the best location, to reverse a May recommendation that City Council follow a staff suggestion to put the memorial in another park. City Park or the Canal Lock Park were suggested.

The staff said it supported a veterans memorial, but feared parking complaints because the new park only has room for three or four parking spaces.
