Yes, Nancy, there was a life-sized Easter Bunny that entertained
children in the window of a downtown drugstore back in the 1950s.
When I asked readers if they could provide any information, they
hopped to the task, and said a bunny held court in the window of the
Gallaher Drug Store at the corner of Second and Main streets. Nancy
Sprauer of Dayton, who is now 72, initiated the bunny discourse.
She said she thought she remembered a large bunny that made
animated appearances this time of year at a drugstore.
