Baltimore Gas & Electric officials have ordered a major overhaul
of top management at the company's troubled Calvert Cliffs nuclear
plant while some nervous Wall Street analysts already have downgraded
the utility's credit rating.
A recent, sharply critical Nuclear Regulatory Commission report
on Calvert Cliffs' management has dealt a serious blow to BG&E
prestige, revealing problems that have prompted the utility to
replace three of the plant's top four managers and reassign seven
others, analysts said.
But a series of other developments is adding to concerns about
the future of the plant, one of the area's largest, which serves
Baltimore and eight surrounding Maryland counties, ...
