In Massachussetts, there's a furious flap about Fluffernutter. Or,
as they probably pronounce it there, "Fluffahnuttah."
State Sen. Jarrett Barios is outraged that his third-grade son was
given a Fluffernutter for lunch at his school in Cambridge. Barios
is, of course, a Democrat, because they're usually the ones who can
work up a good outrage over food. He's calling for an amendment that
would prevent schools from serving Fluffernutters more than once a
week as the main meal of the day.
But, in another example of the deep philosophical differences that
divide Democrats and keep them from making decisions of any kind,
Rep. Kathi-Anne Reinstein is furiously fighting for Fluffernutters.
