Article: Old clipping tells history of Mount Holly

Mount Holly, a tiny village nestled along the western edge of U.S. 42, is just inside Warren County, a few feet shy of the Warren/ Greene County line.

At the Mary L. Cook Library in Waynesville, I located a newspaper clipping detailing the early history of Mount Holly. The subtitle says the article was complied and read at "Home-Coming Day by Miss Helen McClure."

Unfortunately, the article is not dated, nor is the source newspaper named.

The Mount Holly Methodist Church had a homecoming each year in October. Probably the article was read at one of the homecomings and may have been published in the Miami Gazette.
