What does a wedding ring say about you? Sure, it is the socially
accepted sign that you are married, but how linked is this piece of
jewelry with who we are?
I thought about this while I was watching my son's basketball
coach at a recent practice.
He has a child on the team and is much more patient than I would
be with the seven facemaking 5-year-olds who are conversely lying on
the floor and practicing how to throw the ball while spinning.
I noticed, as he was chasing one of the many errant passes, that
he was not wearing a wedding ring.
Now, he could just not wear it to practice, he could be divorced,
he could never have been married, or a number of other scenarios.
Whatever the case, ...
