The Dayton Ballet has something to dance about. Saturday's
Nutcracker Ball raised about $90,000, which will go into general
operating funds, as well as support the Dayton Ballet School and
community and school outreach programs.
The Dayton Ballet is the second oldest professional dance company
in the United States, and one reason for its continued success is
people who support it.
"Attending a gala, you're able to support the arts and have a good
time," said Tracy Payne, who co-chaired the fundraiser with Susan
Kettering. Almost 300 patrons attended the event, Payne said.
Reno Street, 29, has been with the Dayton Ballet for seven
