Today is a national holiday in the college football world.

It's the day high school recruits can begin penning their names to national letters of intent, promising either to be the saviors, mediocre participants or gigantic failures for the fans following these teams.

That means high school football recruiting is huge news. The buildup to this signing day lasts basically from the team's final game until the press conference each school holds so the coach can discuss the recruits from whom the school has already received letters.
