Award-winning independent filmmaker Mark Archer will hold open
auditions on Jan. 20 in Dayton for his forthcoming feature film,
Apparition.
Archer, who won the 1997 Sundance Filmmaker's Trophy for In the
Company of Men, plans to start filming Apparition this fall.
Apparition is a prequel to Paper Dolls, a supernatural action-
thriller written and directed by Archer. Both films star Brookville
native John Woodruff, a former drama student of Archer's at
Huntington University. Paper Dolls was filmed from fall 2005 to
August 2006 in Fort Wayne, Ind., where Archer has a production
facility. Archer held open auditions for Paper Dolls in Dayton in
