TIPP CITY --Volunteer Veterans Memorial Committee members and city
representatives Monday voiced frustrations with the time it is taking
to achieve visible progress at the Veterans Memorial Park.
Veterans Memorial Committee representatives Ron Re and Mike
Jackson again discussed with the city parks advisory board and city
staff the plans for the park and memorial on city-owned property at
the southeast corner of Hyatt and Main streets at the entry to the
historic district.
The Veterans Memorial Committee announced in December it had
exceeded its $62,000 fundraising goal for a 12-foot black granite
monument and some of the hundreds of memorial bricks that will
