Even as the United States is trying to keep Iran from developing nuclear energy, this country is undergoing a renewed interest in nuclear energy for its own use.

Other forms of energy are becoming more expensive and otherwise problematic. And nuclear energy is proving safer than many had feared. So, naturally, more and more American thoughts are turning toward it.

Meanwhile, many other countries are moving toward their first reactors. Often mentioned on this list are Argentina, South Africa and Australia.
