Like a lot of people, I tend to enjoy the Home Run Derby more than
the All-Star Game. But the last few years, I've felt as if
something's missing: Baseball's best batting-practice hitters.
Why has Adam Dunn never been in the homer contest?
Cincinnati Reds fans complain about his overall game ad nauseam.
But no one can argue against him being one of the best home run
hitters of our time. He's also got the personality to be a hit with
ESPN at one of these exhibitions. Yet, he hasn't appeared.
Instead, we get guys such as Matt Holliday, Alex Rios and, last
year, David Wright. All great hitters, no question, but not the
