Article: Housework done badly makes men look helpful

Proving once again that there is no fact too selfevident to be investigated, researchers at universities in Virginia and North Carolina conducted a study on housekeeping and, as reported in the Journal of Family Issues, came up with this blockbuster conclusion: Men do less housework than women.

What's more, the study found, married men do even less housework than unmarried men who are cohabiting. Of course, there probably are dozens of good reasons why married men do less housework than men who are involved in the arrangement formerly known as "living in sin." But I don't want to go into that because I'm sure the reasons do not
