HYPNOTHERAPY has cast off its image as a theatrical magic show to become a respected form of assistance for troubled people.

The hypnotic condition is the only state of mind which allows a properly trained practitioner to work directly with the subconscious mind, says Raymond Parker, director of the New Zealand School of Clinical Hypnotherapy.
