HYPNOTHERAPY has cast off its image as a theatrical magic show to
become a respected form of assistance for troubled people.
The hypnotic condition is the only state of mind which allows a
properly trained practitioner to work directly with the subconscious
mind, says Raymond Parker, director of the New Zealand School of
Clinical Hypnotherapy.
"It is an effective way of dealing with all stress-related
problems, tension, lack of performance in work and sport, self-
confidence phobias and many other behavioural difficulties."
Parker says it is essential people who want to become
hypnotherapists be trained in all allied subjects as well as in the
