MPs travelling to Europe on a "Speaker's Tour" costing taxpayers
$100,000 are flying Qantas rather than the government-owned Air New
Zealand.
Speaker Jonathan Hunt will lead a group of five MPs on a two week
tour of Madrid, Strasbourg, London and Edinburgh next month.
The trip was planned for June, but cancelled because of the early
election.
Hunt and three of the backbench MPs travelling with him - Labour's
Jill Pettis, National's Lindsay Tisch and the Green's Sue Kedgley -
will fly with Qantas and British Airways.
United Future MP Bernie Ogilvy is travelling separately and
initially said he had altered his schedule to support the national
