WHEN YOU consider Aucklander John Street paid $75,000 for a round
of golf with Tiger Woods, shelling out $120,000 for a racehorse is
not out of the ball park.
And after a lifetime of hard slog, Street, 59, reckons he and his
business partner Graeme Blackburn have earned the right to splash out
a little.
Street and Blackburn outbid all the big guns at the country's
premier standardbred yearling sale in Christchurch last week, taking
home a stunning colt by Christian Cullen, which even the great
horse's owner Ian Dobson couldn't buy.
And it was in the same paddocks where the mighty Cullen once
grazed that Christian Spirit found ...
