The Pabst Brewery project first ran into one setback, then took
one step forward.
It met some resistance at the Milwaukee County Courthouse Monday
morning, but was successful at Milwaukee City Hall in the afternoon.
The Pabst Brewery project failed in its attempt to quickly buy
some Park East land from the county, with supervisors saying the
land should be publicly bid instead.
But TMB Development Co. got unanimous approval from the city's
Historic Preservation Commission for its $6.8 million plan to
restore the old Pabst Boiler House and convert it into offices.
TMB Development's Charles Trainer said he plans to officially buy
the Boiler House from the brewery's owner, Brewery Project LLC, ...
