Keeping calm when your child suffers an asthma attack is easy when you are well informed, says Christchurch mother Diane Kirkwood.

Mrs Kirkwood said her four- year-old son Cameron had suffered from asthma almost all his life but with proper management handling it was "a piece of cake."

Cameron's older sister also suffered from asthma as a toddler, which motivated her to learn about the disease. Now she knew what she was facing, it was easy to handle any eventuality.
