Hot Pink Does Vegas, Penny Ashton. The Harbourlight, Lyttelton,

Think Woman in Red, then move up three dress sizes and pack enough
energy on stage to drive a barge up Lyttelton Harbour and you have a
woman in pink; Hot Pink to be precise, and her name is Penny Ashton.
The size thing isn't an issue, in fact Ashton uses her frame as
the butt of much of her humour, and the energy thing, well, anyone
who can fill the Harbourlight on a midweek winter's night in this
port is OK by me.
The show is a mix of poetry, more Ruby Wax than Pam Ayres, singing
and strong audience participation involving everything from bingo,
raffles and an Elvis ...
