Not to be confused with David Cronenberg's 1996 psycho- sexual
drama of the same name, Crash is a searing morality tale of the
dangers of racism based on a bunch of interlinked Angelinos.
Writer/director Paul Haggis had an interesting spur behind his
move from television to film.
"I remember waking up at three or four in the morning in a cold
sweat, dripping wet. I mean, I was drenched. I just pictured my
tombstone and it said: `Paul Haggis: Creator of Walker Texas
Ranger'."
While Haggis was busy making his directorial debut with Crash,
Clint Eastwood took over directing duties of Haggis's other baby -- ...
