A man with a history of exposing himself has been jailed for four
years after attempting to sexually violate a young girl and forcing
another to watch him masturbate.
Christchurch District Court Judge Colin Doherty told Robert Aaron
Stansbury, 20, both the victims had been seriously affected, possibly
for life.
Reported effects included fear of being left alone, difficulties
sleeping and that family relationships had been compromised.
Stansbury, who admitted charges of attempted sexual violation by
unlawful sexual connection and doing an indecent act, had attempted
to have anal intercourse with a girl aged about eight.
