The Washington Capitals finally scored a goal.
But then they gave up one and the result was a 1-1 tie with the
St. Louis Blues last night in front of 12,887 at Capital Centre.
"A point is a point," said Capitals goalie Don Beaupre, who
played another excellent game. "We needed the point, but we have to
be disappointed that they tied it up. We're not real happy, but
we'll take it because it's better than what we've been getting."
The Capitals (3-7-3) ended a three-game losing streak, but
they're still winless in their last seven games since beating
Montreal, 4-3, Oct. 16. The team record for a winless string is 10
games.
