Noticed your letterbox groaning with junk mail lately?
It is not just your imagination or the lead-up to Fathers' Day
causing mailbox mayhem.
Christchurch is in the grips of a junk mail bonanza, with more
companies bombarding our letterboxes with an increasing array of
flyers, catalogues and free samples.
They see the mailbox as a way of speaking one-on-one with
consumers, to push their products and influence spending decisions.
We are getting the message, and spending accordingly, if the
latest national research is to be believed.
