Allied Farmers' finance subsidiary has issued its first prospectus, and is seeking up to $100 million.

Allied Prime Finance is the amalgamation of the finance division of listed Hawera rural services company Allied Farmers, and Wellington's Prime Finance.

Allied Farmers paid just over $15m for Prime Finance earlier this year.

John Loughlin, the chairman of both Allied Farmers and Allied Prime Finance, said the emphasis would be on careful management and transparency, after the Provincial Finance and Western Bay Finance failures.
