People attending a Savour New Zealand master class watch, listen
and sample, but don't perform, clarifies Kate Fraser.
`I'd like to be going to Savour New Zealand," said the taxi
driver, "but I'm not that good a cook. Certainly not good enough to
be in a master class."
Oh dear, another keen cook -- we occasionally swap recipes, the
taxi driver and I -- who believes Savour New Zealand's "master class
for food and wine lovers" is about pinnies and knife skills and a top
chef correcting your pastry-making skills.
Not so. Savour master classes, like ballet or cello master
classes, are fronted by folk who are best in their field. But that's
