PGG Wrightson's real estate unit is raising its online presence by letting clients list their farms with Trade Me.

PGG general manager real estate Stuart Cooper said customers would be given the option to list their rural, residential and lifestyle properties on Trade Me Property.

The financial-based agreement came at a time of intense farmer interest in dairy properties and a push into centres like Ashburton for residential property.

Farmers were deciding over winter whether to increase exposure to the stronger returns from dairy, he said.

This followed the announcement by Fonterra two weeks ago of a record forecast payout of $5.53/kg for milk solids for the 2007/08 season.
