I wish this didn't make me sound so ancient, but I'm more than a
third as old as the Inland Empire itself.
San Bernardino and Riverside counties are both only a few years
older than 150. I'm 57. Do the math.
Gee, it's no wonder I'm so interested in local history. I've been
around for a good chunk of it.
Of course, I've missed some things, too. That's why I'm a big fan
of the "Images of America" books from Arcadia Publishing of Mount
Pleasant, S.C. Arcadia is the nation's leading publisher of regional
history books with more than 3,000 titles representing communities
from coast to coast.
The Inland Empire is well-represented in the series, with more
